Biography

Dr. Leah Leeder graduated with honors from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC, Toronto) in 1997, following her year and a half internship.  After briefly working at Commonwealth Chiropractic in Boston with her father, she moved to Israel, where she established a private practice in Jerusalem, Israel and in Efrat.   She currently works full time in the Jerusalem office.

The focus of Commonwealth Chiropractic Jerusalem is that of prevention.  A human begins at conception, therefore health and well being starts with the mother, who directly affects the influences on the developing embryo and fetus, and continues for patients of all ages.

“I approach any patient who comes to my office, as a whole person, with both physical and emotional stresses.”

Chiropractic subluxation, lifestyle and nutrition are all examined, with an eye toward teaching the client how to recognize that symptoms serve as a message that something needs to be explored or changed in one’s life (Dennis Jaffe, “Healing from Within”, 1986);  that the patient take responsibility for their body and for the choices they make, in order to express 100% of their human potential. Health, beyond being symptom free, is dependent upon a fully functioning, unimpeded nervous system.

Dr. Leah utilizes the following gentle and effective techniques:  Diversified, Activator, Logan Basic, Visceral Manipulation, Applied Kinesiology, Accupressure Release and One – Brain.

Chiropractic Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of:

Back pain, neck pain, headache and joint pain

Herniated discs, Spondylosis or other disc problems due to degenerative conditions

Sciatica (radiating pain down the leg)

Sports injuries or injuries caused by car accidents

Optimizing performances of athletes and soldiers

Poor posture and scoliosis screening

Visceral manipulation (internal organs)

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and work related injuries

Prenatal and post-partum treatments (Mother and New Baby)

Pediatric spinal check-ups

Asthma and allergy alleviation

Chiropractic treatment is manual, and without medication or surgery.  It is a preventative treatment, focused and precise and exceptionally safe.

Commonwealth Chiropractic Jerusalem encourages families to come in together, so that all may experience the benefits of the chiropractic approach.

When not working, Dr. Leah enjoys creative writing and photography, water sports, reading science fiction, and taking care of Jerusalem's street cats.
