PROFILE-PLUS. Gershon’s Venture with Adventure

Tourism is one of Israel’s greatest sources of foreign revenue, despite concerns of travellers for their safety. The number of tourists seems to increase, year after year.

Now that the LONELY PLANET has rated Tel Aviv third in a list of the world’s best cities, we should expect an influx of new tourists in the coming months.

With this potential surge in revenue, it seemed to be opportune to check through the list of JobShuk members in the tourist industry, notably Tour Guides.

Scanning through the list, some 20 or more, one name caught my attention. GERSHON RECHTMAN, with his enterprise named Israel Adventures.

Gershon’s PROFILE is concise with all details clearly enumerated. The number of testimonials published on his Profile is very impressive.

But, one sentence says;

"I invite you to read more about me and my outlook on guiding on my Blog."

On opening the last blog posted on JobShuk the first thing noticable is the date: 26 December 2009. It’s surely a good time to post a fresh blog.

So, here goes, Gershon. With my compliments!

My name is Gershon Rechtman. I run a venture here called Israel Adventures. Rather than outline what I can do for tourists, both young and old and  their wants and needs, I’d simply like to tell you what some of my previous clients have said:

"The trip enhanced our family bond and exposed us to a world of our fellow Jews."

"I developed a newfound taste for adventure that was more than just invigorating – it was empowering."

"We were touched and uplifted, educated and enriched."

There are probably 10,000 guides who could tell me the date Hadrian raised the city, but only one who could show me a living city inside the historical one."

"Thank you from the entire family and extended family for a trip of a lifetime."

"The trip as a whole was simply amazing!"

"So many things that we were ambivalent during the planning stage – but which you insisted that we do – turned out to be the highlights of the trip."

"The whole experience was such a whirlwind that it’s going to take a while for it all to settle in. You were amazing!"

"We participated in so many types of activities it still makes my head spin."

"I really believe that the trip helped the kids better see their place in the world as Jews and that by better connecting to the past they can project their future as Jews."

Gershon needs to do little else other than pass on these compliments.

It’s always easy to tell everybody what you do. What matters most is what they say!

PROFILE-PLUS is devised and compiled by creative copywriter Lloyd Masel for the benefit of JobShuk members with some add-on comments to their  PROFILE.
