Jerusalem.com, the primary gateway to the Holy City, is looking to hire an editor in chief for 17 hours per week of work, to start as soon as possible.

The position pays a salary of 4550 NIS per month. Applicants must be interested in and available for additional hours as well, as the position may become full-time in the coming months. Additional wages may also be available in the short term in the context of the part-time position, if the editor elects to write some of the ongoing needs for content himself or herself.

The job:
- Managing the ongoing but always-evolving work flow among over 10 team members who work remotely via a "virtual office" environment.
- Writing at least one short article per week.
- Overseeing user outreach team efforts on the social media.
- Generating and executing ongoing content generation assignments.
- Ensuring that our static content sections (for example, our restaurant guide) remain updated.
- Coordinating with upper management regarding strategic partnerships with other organizations.
- Coordinating with upper management regarding rollouts of new website functionalities.
- Coordinating with upper management regarding monetization strategies and initiatives.
- Liaising with management, clients, publicity contacts, strategic partners and remote co-workers in an organized, timely and professional manner.
- Representing management to co-workers to coordinate and report on projects.
- Attending regular events and meetings in Jerusalem and over Skype.

Requirements:
- A native English-speaker with a working level of comfort communicating in Hebrew.
- Basic familiarity with the city of Jerusalem and her many facets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Versatility and the ability to write tight, crisp content with a strong sense of color and brand voice.
- The ability to work from home using a high-speed internet connection.
- Applicants must be highly organized and ambitious, with the ability to juggle many roles and rolling deadlines independently.
- Applicants must be sticklers for style sheet standardization and content written in a variety of suitable voices for specific niche audiences.

Applicants with these skills will be considered more favorably:
- Experience with team leadership and management.
- Experience with writing professionally.
- Experience working with content management systems.
- Familiarity with user outreach on social media.
- Familiarity with the principles of search engine optimization.
