Studio IT Creative Communications, a boutique media firm based
in Jerusalem, is looking to hire a web community moderator for
telecommuting shift work.
Our firm has been subcontracted by an international
entertainment giant to ensure that the user-generated content on a
number of the company's websites is all free from unacceptable
text, images and video. Some of this content is filtered by our
teams before it is published on the websites, while the rest must
be moderated after going live.
This means logging in to and out of back-end moderation systems at
specific times and reviewing content that has been flagged by users
– as well as browsing the front end to ensure that no objectionable
content exists there and other responsibilities.
Applicants must be able to work from home using their own high-speed internet connection and must be able to stomach off-color slang, profanity and images. Basic web and computer skills and a working knowledge of pop culture and web 2.0 are a must, and experience with content management systems is a plus.
The shifts that we currently have available take place on Sundays through Thursdays at 5 PM Israel time. Each shift is about 5:20 long, with a half-hour break in the middle.
This job pays 34 NIS per hour on a salary basis. Alternatively,
we can offer 40 NIS per hour to applicants who are registered with
the Israeli income tax authorities as freelancers and can issue
invoices against their billings.
Please submit resumes to moderationjob@gmail.com with
the subject line "may evening opening."
