A survivor of a benign brain tumor called a meningioma, I beat the odds, with G'D's help. That tumor endangered my entire central nervous system and very life. Emergency 2005 surgery saved my life but left me weak and with double vision. I pursued an organic foods healing program. In nine months I regained the vigor and glow of a much younger woman. My eyes are healing and my vision is steadily improving. I've written a book to show other people in dire medical straits how to take control of your emotions and actions so that you can keep and enhance your sense of human dignity, and even promote your physical health or that of loved ones facing medical crises. Some readers find my Hebrew name hard to pronounce. I spell it two different ways, to help others out: Yojeved, for Spanish speakers. Yocheved for everyone else. The "ch" is pronounced the same as in "Bach," or in "Chanuka." I'm available for speaking engagements, interviews and consulting/Self Help Coaching services. Contact me at giveretgolani@gmail.com

Listservs and tehillim lists fill up daily with requests for tefilot. Someone else has been diagnosed with a dread disease or medical setback. Perhaps they've suffered a terrible accident. Shock, despair, crises in emunah. People ask "How can I cope?"
