@neilg I accepted subcontracting work from Neil at a very low, introductory rate, particularly since the client was a Tzedaka.

It became very clear that Neil didn’t understand the basics of web development as he misrepresented the work that needed to be done. He continually asked me to complete more tasks “for free” since he wasn’t aware of what was involved in the project when he hired me, he didn’t know how to do the most basic tasks, and the other subcontractor refused to be taken advantage of.

Once finished, he wouldn’t pay me until he received payment from the client, which seemed to take almost 2 months. He then said his PayPal wasn’t working, and offered to send a check with a mutual friend. He didn’t, and after 6 months, the clients approached me directly to make modifications on the site, and willingly paid me for my initial efforts which Neil never compensated.

    Avoid!
