    Figuratively:

Thank you! It was very difficult to write, but I guess, in the end, as with just about everything else I have written it has been cathartic and healing.

Whether it proves inspirational is anyone’s guess. I do hope so with all my heart!

    Adam,

    Thank you VERY much!

Just a little post I had sitting in “my documents” for months. I’ve felt funny about writing it and even moreso about posting it, but I hope it might give a small dose of inspiration to somebody who is finding him/herself in the face of a life-hanging diagnosis.

    Thanks!

    Valentine,

I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to grow up without parents. My father was a jerk, but my mother was both mother and father for me and my sister. I just can’t imagine what it must be like to not have parents to turn to for hugs, support and love.

As far as raising your own children, you seem like a great guy with a terrific head on your shoulders. I am certain that you will give your children what you yourself missed getting from your parents: love, stability and care.

I wish you luck and strength in your journey forward.

Thanks for your comments and thoughts…they mean a lot!

    Ronika,

    Thanks,

Sometimes I feel like I have won the lottery! Maybe with these odds, I should buy a ticket!

It was difficult to share for more reasons than one, but in the end, I’m glad I did.

I got a very nice email from a woman in New Mexico who shared the post with her daughter who is going through a fourth round of chemotherapy. The poor girl is only thirteen. She told her mom she wants to meet me; since I don’t have money for a plane ticket, I’m sending her a teddy-bear. It makes me glad I posted!

    Thank you!

I’m glad you found the post inspirational and, yes, you are correct, sometimes we overlook the good until bad things start to happen. Despite the obstacles, I thank God every day for the blessings he has given me!

    Ben,

Again I vacillated ond hesitated to post this, but in the end, I’m glad I did. The link has appeared on quite a few websites for people with disabilities and that makes me happy!
