You should give the option in the profile for website. Also, like in LinkIn, it would be nice for other customers to post recommendations on your profile. Just a thought

You're definitely on the right track with articles, make sure to provide information both for freelancers and employers, and allow freelancers to contribute content to the main articles section (ie in addition to the blogs) with a link back to their profile.

You should allow people to upload a photo on their profile and/or blog page (people might want it to show up on one or the other but not both), employers can relate more to someone they can see.

Make people can browse profiles by category/status/availability.

Will there be a rating/feedback system, so once someone has been hired through the site and done a good job potential employers can see that?

Contact us goes to your (Zvi's) profile with no obvious method of contact, other than copying and pasting the email address. It should be a regular contact form where someone can submit a question or feedback.

There should be an obvious method of contact on a profile page, ie the status should be a link that opens an email, or there should be a link under contact info (or better yet, above) that says "Contact so-and-so about a project". It should not open in their email program but should be sent via a form on the site, so the recipient knows where it is coming from and that it is trustworthy. This will help keep things out of spam folders also.

There should be a link in the navigation for potential employees to post a job, they can also still browse profiles but this way freelancers can actively browse open jobs.

This may be a feature for down the road - What about taking payment for projects from employers, perhaps by charging their CC directly every couple of weeks or once a month and paying freelancers, this would help take the burden off freelancers of chasing down clients who don't pay, or delay paying, and in return you take a percentage of what is earned.

That's just off the top of my head :) I'll take another look later.

I think that the community that you are building is awesome. And I think that the site is easy and simple to use, and could benefit by being a little more aesthetically pleasing with the colors or gradience. Keep up the great work!

Zvi hi,
Thanks for the invitation to join which i have now done. However, I cannot get the photo insert to work. Can you explain how to do this?
Thanks.

I like the idea of promoting Israeli businesses worldwide. But what's with this ugly design? Can I help? The top and the bottom of the pages design wise are UNACCEPTABLE! Have a look at my portfolio, may be I can help: http://www.ibak.com

Thank you and good luck!
