Youth employment update (July 2011)

In continuation of my previous blog entry on the issue of youth employment, The minimum wages have been raised (the rest of the information in my previous blog remain unchanged)
(effective to July 2011 salary) as follows:

The knesset has approved a raise of the minimum wages effective July 1, 2011. As a result the youth employment wage rates have been updated accordingly, as follows:

Apprentices———–2,460———-14.22
up to age 16———-2,870———-16.59
from age 16 to 17—–3,075———-17.77
from age 17 to 18—–3,403———-19.67
age 18 and up———4,100———-22.04
